Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer to develop, test, debug, and support semiconductor test and measurement systems. This role involves board bring-up, troubleshooting, validation, repair, and hardware design for precision analog and mixed-signal instrumentation.The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex hardware problems, working in a laboratory environment, and collaborating with FPGA, software, manufacturing, and applications teams to develop and improve semiconductor test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform board bring-up, testing, debugging, validation, and repair of prototype and production hardware
  • Investigate hardware failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Design precision analog and mixed-signal circuits for semiconductor test and measurement systems
  • Develop and support SMU, PMU, CMU, Pulse-IV, and high-voltage measurement circuitry.
  • Design low-noise and low-leakage measurement front ends, ADC/DAC circuits, AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies, and instrument power delivery systems
  • Support system integration, calibration, reliability testing, and performance characterization
  • Create and maintain schematics, design documentation, test procedures, and validation reports
  • Collaborate with FPGA, software, manufacturing, and applications teams to resolve hardware and system-level issues
  • Support engineering builds, manufacturing test, and field issue investigations.
  • Contribute to product improvements focused on performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost
  • Travel up to 25%

Qualification and Skills

Required

  • Required BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in hardware design, validation, testing, debugging, or repair.
  • Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and boardlevel repair.
  • Experience with AC/DC and DC/DC power supply design.
  • Understanding of semiconductor devices and electrical measurement techniques
  • Experience using DMMs, Source Measure Units (SMUs), power supplies, and laboratory test equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience with semiconductor test equipment, ATE platforms, wafer test systems, or precision instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of low-current measurement, Kelvin sensing, guarding, and low-leakage design techniques.
  • Familiarity with FPGA-based systems and instrument control architectures.
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, Altium Designer, PADS, LTspice, or PSpice.
  • Experience with calibration, reliability testing, and measurement system validation.
