Chroma ATE, Inc., a 40-year-old world leading supplier of Test, Measurement, Inspection Automation Solution is expanding their team in North America. The ideal candidate will have excellent business acumen and experience in our understanding of test systems and solutions for semiconductor manufacturing.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our technical capabilities and customer needs, providing expert guidance on our products and services. This role involves engaging with clients during the pre-sales process, conducting product demonstrations, and ensuring that our solutions meet their technical requirements. The Sales Engineer will work closely with both the sales and services teams to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations that highlight the features and benefits of our offerings.
  • Provide technical support during the pre-sales process, addressing any inquiries or concerns from potential clients.
  • Demo the test plan for various semiconductor devices on SW / HW systems.
  • Convery customer’s requirements to Application and R/D teams.
  • Serves as the point person for the sales team for the sales process, problem solving and escalating issues.
  • Help to manage the CRM (or sales funnel) and review the account information consistently.
  • Act as a technical liaison between Chroma and customer to ensure customer’s requirements are met and satisfied.
  • Cooperate with sales team on pre /post sale activities and promotion campaigns.
  • Assist in creating compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Prepare and develop product presentations to present the company’s product and service.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions post-sale.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote our products and services.

Qualification and Skills

  • Must have a Bachelors' degree or experience in: Photonics, Optics, Spectroscopy, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
  • Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
  • Blend of business and technical knowledge, with a big-picture vision and a commitment to turn vision into reality
  • Extraordinary leadership abilities· Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written (Mandarin is a plus but not required)
  • Able to negotiate with client teams at all levels (engineering, PM’s, procurement, etc.)
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary internal & external groups driving tasks & schedules
  • Strong Listening skills to understand client’s values and dominant needs
  • Highly organized displaying good judgment in time management
  • Computer Skills related to creation of reports, schedules and CRM updates
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, business or equivalent
  • 3+ Sales Experience outside sales in capital equipment
