Chroma ATE USA, is thriving. And we’re expanding our team and our sales network. Currently, we are seeking a highly

experienced and driven Senior Sales Engineer to lead business development and sales efforts for our semiconductor

test equipment portfolio. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Ca of the United States. This role is ideal for a technically

adept sales professional with a deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and test processes, who thrives in a

fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow market share in the region of the Northern California territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within semiconductor fabs, OSATs, and IDMs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.

  • Technical Consultation:
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations, demos, and ROI analyses tailored to customer needs.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including system configuration and integration guidance.

  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Understand customer roadmaps and align solutions to meet evolving test requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences.

  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Collaborate with product management, applications engineering, and marketing teams to align on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline in CRM tools (e.g., Oracle Netsuite).

Base annual salary: 110K-145K depending on the experiences ( **Must come with a Database of contacts) + commission

Criteria

The Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Physics, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 7+ years of technical sales or applications engineering experience in the semiconductor test equipment industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of ATE , SLT Test systems, wafer-level test, burn-in, and reliability testing.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor device physics and test methodologies.

  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
  • Bi-Lingual in Mandarin is a plus.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% with the company, and 10% overseas
  • Working Location: San Jose, California, Hybrid

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with major semiconductor manufacturers and OSATs in the East Coast region.
  • Preferred Experience in Automation and IC Test Capitol
  • Prefer background in Semiconductor IC Thermal Test Analysis and Engineering Laboratory relationships
  • Familiarity with test automation software, data analytics, and yield improvement tools.
  • Existing network of industry contacts and decision-makers.
