Job Summary

We are seeking a Thermal Test Engineer to lead performance testing of thermal forcing systems in both production and Engineering environments. This role involves validating system functionality, optimizing thermal performance, and supporting new product development through rigorous testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal engineering, instrumentation, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct performance testing on finished thermal forcing system production units to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Develop and execute test plans for new product development, collaborating with R&D teams to refine thermal system designs
  • Analyze thermal efficiency, stability, and response times under various operating conditions
  • Utilize thermal sensors, data acquisition systems and thermal test vehicles (TTVs) to assess system behavior
  • Identify and troubleshoot thermal anomalies, proposing design improvement where necessary
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to optimize system performance
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test results, methodologies and recommendations
  • Support regulatory compliance and industry standards for thermal system validation
  • Travel up to 20%

Qualification and Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in thermal testing, heat transfer analysis, and system validation
  • Proficiency in thermal modeling software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) and data acquisition tools
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and refrigeration principles
  • Ability to interpret sensor data and optimize thermal control algorithms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • 3-5 years related experiences

Preferred

  • Experience with 2-phase vapor compression Thermal systems
  • Experience with Semiconductor Equipment
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with thermal forcing systems used in semiconductor testing for commercial, aerospace, & military applications
  • Knowledge of ISO, ASHRAE, or other thermal performance standards
  • Hands-on experience with TTV systems and thermal cycling tests\

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Thermal testing and heat transfer analysis: 1 year (Preferred)
  • System Validation: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Thermal modeling software: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics & refrigeration principles: 1 year (Preferred)
